Info

Michael 'Savage' Fitzpatrick is a resident of Dublin. He is known in the Irish Gaming community as a long-time associate of DU Gamers, contributor to Leprecon, and occasional writer of dreadful scenarios using settings no-one likes. His main contribution to the Irish Gaming scene is his design work, which has been widely attributed with raising the bar for Irish Gaming conventions in general.

As Con Director of Leprecon XXVIII he organised and designed the 'Ladies of Leprecon' calendar, which was well received. The calendar used a mix of photography and illustration to portray fantasy & sci-fi scenes played out by female members of the Irish Gaming community.

As a writer of con scenarios, Fitzpatrick has fallen prey to the time honoured tactic used by so many RPG co-ordinators. Once sufficiently blathered, he can more often than not be persuaded to write a con scenario. What results is usually a testament to why 'Savage' is lauded for his design work, and not his writing. While usually well presented, with skillfully laid out maps and a multitude of GM and player aids, and always featuring some sort of high concept, the scenario invariably consists of a couple of fights, a stealth scene, and a bit with a dog. They are generally rubbish, and to compound the error made in agreeing to write the wretched thing in the first place, these scenarios usually take place in the ultra-twinky world of Eberron, or employ some system Fitzpatrick has only the most fleeting of understanding of.

In short, avoid using this man's scenarios. They stink.
