I thought Avatar was a load of crap. Crazy Heart was alright.

I'll save you money now, From Paris With Love is awful.

I wasn't blown away by Avatar either. It was good but good effects make a special effects award, not a best picture award. The story unoriginal and a lot of the acting was crap.

Last movie I watched and really enjoyed was Crazy Heart.

Matt Borselli has a quick writeup of his experience with Crucible Design, and more specifically The 23rd Letter, on his blog, AssHat Paladins.

I enjoyed chatting about it - getting involved in my own narcissism obviously - and it brought back a lot of memories.

Avatar was okish, very glad it didn't win Best Picture. My choice for Best Picture would have been A Serious Man.

Robert Bohl, the free minded designer, posted an interesting mish-mash of meta products over on his blog. He combined a playtest report of Apocalypse World with the HfL Frame system to produce a micro actual play vignette. Interesting, quirky and lateral.

On the back of this, I’d like to point you guys to his game, Misspent Youth. I haven’t played it myself, but it looks like my cup of tea. Check it out. Support it.
